Ben Macias, the founder and CEO of Macias Consulting, was born and raised in National City, CA. With deep Mexican roots—his father’s side is from Guadalajara—Ben takes great pride in his heritage. A graduate of Sweetwater High School, Ben’s path from a local bus driver to a leader in the nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) industry is a testament to his dedication to his community and culture.
Ben’s career began in 2001 as a bus driver for a transportation company, where he played a key role in helping seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities in San Diego access vital healthcare and social services. His commitment and work ethic led him to the position of General Manager, where he learned the critical impact that reliable transportation can have on people’s lives.
In 2014, Ben founded Coordinated Fleet Services (CFS) with a mission to provide top-tier transportation services to local health centers. Under his leadership, CFS has grown from 10 vehicles and 22 employees. Today, CFS is the trusted transportation provider for San Diego PACE, this service plays a vital role in supporting the health of seniors across San Diego and surrounding counties.
As CEO of Macias Consulting, Ben continues to work closely with PACE Centers, helping them optimize their transportation systems to ensure participants receive the care they need. His leadership style is collaborative and rooted in a deep understanding of community needs, reflecting his strong family values and cultural pride. Ben’s Mexican heritage has deeply influenced his leadership style, emphasizing community, trust, and the importance of giving back.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ben is passionate about giving back to his community. He actively supports local schools, little league teams, and various organizations throughout San Diego. Family and community are central to everything Ben does. He is married, and together they have a blended family of six children. In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors of San Diego County.
