“I know it’s going to end in one, two or three years, I don’t know and I don’t care,” said the striker
On his 40th birthday, Cristiano Ronaldo rejected the idea of being a manager once he retires, as he would actually like to be the owner of several clubs. In other words, to be the absolute boss.
“Being a club manager doesn’t make any sense. If I have the possibility of being an owner, why should I be a manager, sporting director or CEO?” he asked in an interview on Channel 11 of the Portuguese Football Federation.
“That’s why it’s my dream,” he added, ‘and I’m certain that I’m going to be one, and I even say more, I hope to have not only one club, but several,’ said the now Al-Nassr striker.
With 23 goals so far this season in Saudi Arabia (and 920 in his entire career), CR7 acknowledged that turning 40 and continuing to make a difference is not something he would have thought about, “but it has been a very nice challenge”.
That said, the still Portugal international admitted that when people ask him if he still enjoys coaching or if he feels the same as he did when he was 20, he acknowledged that “it’s not the same,” although he still feels passion.
“I know it’s going to end in a year, two or three, I don’t know, I don’t care either,” said the former Real Madrid player.
