Powerful Message for 2025
By: Gina Dewar
This March 8, the world unites under the theme “Accelerate Action,” an urgent call to move faster toward gender equality. At this rate, reaching full parity could take until 2158-that’s unacceptable!
The United Nations reinforces this message with the slogan “For ALL women and girls: rights. Equality. Empowerment,” reminding us that equity must be inclusive, leaving no one behind.
Every advance has been made possible by courageous women who broke barriers, raised their voices and demanded change. But the struggle continues. Wage gaps, gender-based violence and lack of representation continue to affect millions. That is why it is essential to recognize those who, through their work and leadership, continue to blaze trails and build a more equitable future.
As editor-in-chief of La Revista Binacional, it is truly an honor to highlight the incredible women making a difference in San Diego. These inspiring leaders, each from diverse industries and backgrounds, have not only made an impact on the San Diego-Baja community, but have also set a high standard for young women looking for role models.
