Universal Studios Hollywood celebrates the space-time continuum with a lineup inspired by the original 1985 Back to the Future film, an outdoor spectacle on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, as the theme park counts down to the opening of Universal Fan Fest Nights, presenting Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley as part of its new immersive after-hours fan event.

A Universal Fan Fest Nights fan dressed as “Marty McFly,” holding his goggles, sporting his signature red vest, and examining his watch, will dazzle drivers and pedestrians as the large character graces the new billboard, along with a digital clock replicating the countdown from the film’s premiere to the Universal Fan Fest Nights premiere on Friday, April 25. The new billboard is located on Sunset Boulevard at the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard.

Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural event, taking place April 25-27, May 2-4, 9-11, and 15-18, 2025.

Launching exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Fan Fest Nights will feature all-new, curated experiences inspired by science fiction, fantasy, video games, and anime.

They will also have the opportunity to participate in cosplay while enjoying classics like Star Trek, Back to the Future, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, ONE PIECE, and Jujutsu Kaisen, in addition to meeting the characters of Wicked, Elphaba, and Glinda. Additionally, theme park favorites The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will offer special additions and introduce characters and interactive elements during the event.
