On Saturday, October 25, the “Day of the Dead” Gala was held at Charo Garcia-Acevedo’s Hacienda in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, bringing together the most important donors in the CaliBaja region, as well as strategic alliances from both sides of the border, who together make it possible for Fundación Tijuana Sin Hambre to provide food assistance to the most vulnerable populations in Tijuana, Mexico. in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, bringing together the most important donors in the CaliBaja region, as well as strategic alliances from both sides of the border, who together make it possible for Fundación Tijuana Sin Hambre to cook 1 million meals a year, equivalent to 3,500 meals a day distributed to 37 civil associations in our city.
Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, $100,000 was raised, an amount that is essential to continue achieving 1 million meals per year. This food reaches the tables of vulnerable communities through 37 civil associations, including: Juventud 2000, Casa YMCA para Menores No Acompañados, Centro del Anciano, Pedacito de Cielo, Jardín de las Mariposas, Embajadores de Jesús, among others that receive daily support from the foundation.



The dinner featured internationally renowned chefs who offered an exceptional culinary experience: David Waite, Drew Deckman, Flor Franco, Enrique Ñol, James Montejano, Maeve Rochford, Michelle Mathelin, Pancho Ibañez, Polo Borquez, Vanessa Garza, and William Eick.
Lulú Martinez Ojeda also participated as Lead Winemaker, in collaboration with Fernando Pérez Castro from La Lomita, and with the invaluable support of Phill and Eileen Gregory from Vena Cava Vinícola, wine pioneers in the Guadalupe Valley.
The mixology was handled by the talented team at U4RIK Spirits, who elevated the experience with creativity and elegance.
The event was made possible thanks to the support of sponsors in kind, who contributed to enhancing the gastronomy of Baja California, as well as allies and sponsors who made the gala possible, joining forces to bring hope and food to thousands of people.


The evening paid tribute to our Mexican traditions with an emotional procession, traditional dances, an altar of the dead with all its elements and offerings, creating an atmosphere full of color, life, and meaning.
Every detail of that night reflected the power of unity, empathy, and generosity.
