Lucky Diaz, 2025 GRAMMY Winner for Best Children’s Music Album and Latin GRAMMY Award Winner, presents bilingual concerts on May 10 at The Conrad

San Diego, CA-The Lucky Diaz Duet, winners of the 2025 GRAMMY for Best Children’s Music Album, will perform in concert at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in downtown La Jolla on Saturday, May 10, 2025, presented by La Jolla Music Society (LJMS), at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. These concerts will take place at The JAI, The Conrad’s smaller, more intimate venue, with plenty of room for kids to dance and move. The event is suitable for all ages, especially ages 3 to 8.

Dubbed “the face of kindie music” by the Washington Post, husband-and-wife duo Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis create bilingual indie-pop music for kids. Hailing from Los Angeles, they have gained significant recognition in the children’s music scene. The band’s music is known for its catchy melodies, clever lyrics and a blend of English and Spanish, reflecting their commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Lucky Diaz’s music celebrates culture, community and creativity. Audiences will enjoy a live musical performance that explores storytelling through music and movement, learning about Latino culture through the arts. This 50-minute interactive concert features live music with guitars, percussion and backing tracks. The songs are in English and Spanish and invite audience participation, creating a welcoming environment for children with diverse needs.

Lucky Diaz’s favorite songs include “Taco Tuesday,” “Paletero Man,” “Thingamijig” and “Piñata Attack!

Lucky Diaz has garnered high critical acclaim, including multiple awards. The band has won two Latin GRAMMY awards for Best Latin Children’s Album: the first in 2013 for ¡Fantástico!” making them the first U.S. group to win in that category, and again in 2019 for Buenos Diaz (under the name The Lucky Band).

In addition to the accolades, the band recently won a GRAMMY Award for Best Children’s Music Album for their 2024 release, Brillo, Brillo! This latest recognition marks their first overall GRAMMY Award, cementing their place as a prominent figure in children’s entertainment.
