The National Chamber for the Development and Promotion of Housing (Canadevi) announced that today is the ideal time to acquire a house or apartment, since Infonavit beneficiaries have new benefits, such as obtaining a greater amount of credit.
At a press conference, Mr. Alejandro Jiménez López, state president of Canadevi Baja California, stated that by the end of the year, members of the chamber will offer various promotions to buyers.
“In these last two months of the year you will be able to find the promotion campaigns and strategies carried out by developers, particularly for these last two months of the year,” he commented.
Among the promotions that the members of Canadevi BC will offer to Mexican workers, he said, are discount bonds, discounts on the cost of housing, free deed, or discount on deed expenses (as the case may be), as well as equipment.
“That is why we invite you to approach the developers affiliated with the Chamber throughout the State, to ask about the different promotions and offers that each one offers for Infonavit beneficiaries,” said the leader.
In this regard, Lic. Ana Lizeth Gómez, Infonavit delegate in Baja California, reported on the launch of various modifications to the institute’s products, whose objective is that more workers have access to buying a home.
“The maximum amount of the Infonavit credit was increased, which was 2 million 200 thousand pesos (around USD 116 thousand), to 2 million 407 thousand pesos (around USD 127 thousand); adjustments will also be made to credits for land, where there were several limitations,” she mentioned.
In addition, the Mejoravit credit no longer only must be applied to a home or property in the name of the beneficiary, the delegate pointed out, but she can also exercise it in the destination that she chooses and in the term that she decides.
Meanwhile, the maximum age for granting an Infonavit loan went from 65 to 70 years, added Lic. Ana Lizeth Gómez, which will give more people the opportunity to build assets.
“And on the occasion of the Good End, with which we all seek to generate benefits for consumers, Infonavit will extend its service hours for users on our part,” she stressed.
For Friday, November 18th, the offices will work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and on Saturday 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
These hours will be applicable to the service centers located in Mexicali, the Zona Cívica neighborhood; in Tijuana, in the Central Zone, or “Downtown”Zona Centro”; and Ensenada in the Centro neighborhood.
Finally, the Infonavit delegate indicated that so far in 2022, almost 16,000 loans have been granted at the state level, with average amounts of 800 thousand pesos (around USD 42 thousand).
