The National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Canaco-Servytur) of Ensenada was part of the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the foundation of the Confederation of Chambers of Commerce (Concanaco) in the country, whose commitment is focused on service and strengthening of the tertiary sector.
In an interview with Dr. Octavio de la Torre de Stéffano, president of Canaco Ensenada, he indicated that this commemoration brought together businessmen from the 32 states who coexisted and reflected on the present and future of the Commerce, Services and Tourism.
“We are a sector that represents more than 60% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Mexico, so the presence of the leaders of the 257 confederate chambers that support more than 4.5 million companies was very significant,” he noted.
During the official ceremony, the president of Concanaco, Héctor Tejada Shaar, thanked the presence of presidents, councilors and businessmen on this anniversary, which, he said, reflects the strength and durability of an ethical, fair and responsible representation of the tertiary sector.
“In the framework of the 105th anniversary of the Confederation, the National Congress of Women Entrepreneurs will take place, bringing together for the first time entrepreneurs and businesswomen from all over the country in a single municipality, thanks to the impulse of the Vice Presidency of Women Entrepreneurs in charge of Elizabeth Vargas Martín del Campo”, commented Dr. Octavio de la Torre.
In this sense, he highlighted that Concanaco Servytur celebrates 105 years of promoting economic growth in Mexico, of proposing social measures that benefit all Mexicans, and of contributing to the construction of a better country.
The leader of the Canaco Ensenada stressed that the spirit forged in 1917, when the first Chambers of Commerce came together to found the Concanaco, is still present in all its members more than a century later.
“More than 4.5 million small, medium and large companies trust our Confederation to represent their interests, for which we are grateful and proud to belong to an organization where, united, positive actions for the growth of Mexico are made possible”, concluded Dr. Octavio de la Torre.
