A new immersive dining experience opened to the public on May 31, offering tasty buffet-style food and entertainment from Sesame Street friends.

Sesame Place San Diego, the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning Sesame Street show, announced the official opening date of the new interactive dining experience, Dine with Elmo and Friends, on May 31 at the new Sunny Day Café.
The immersive experience allows guests to dine alongside their favorite furry friends and experience exclusive entertainment including singing, dancing and photo opportunities. Season Pass members will be the first to experience the new dining experience with Elmo and his friends.
“We are excited to officially open Dine with Elmo & Friends and offer our guests a new way to interact and spend time with their favorite Sesame Street friends,” said Genaro Castro, vice president of Sesame Place San Diego. “The new Sunny Day Café is a wonderful indoor dining room with a delicious menu that I know our guests will love to experience – this unique and immersive experience will create new and lasting memories for our guests and provide a new way to celebrate special events in the park, including birthdays, holidays and more!
Dine with Elmo & Friends allows guests to get closer than ever to their favorite furry friends while dining alongside them. Dining with Elmo & Friends takes place at the new Sunny Day Café, an indoor air-conditioned dining room in the Sesame Street neighborhood that seats 160 guests. Each Dining with Elmo & Friends experience lasts approximately one hour and includes a tasty family-style buffet meal and exclusive entertainment that will delight the entire family!
Reservations for Dining with Elmo and Friends start at just $41.99 for adults and children 10 years and older, and $21.99 for children ages 3-9 years. Children under 3 get in free but require a reservation. Park admission is required in addition to the reservation to dine with Elmo and friends. Reservations in advance of visiting the park are strongly recommended.
In addition to this exciting interactive experience, park visitors can enjoy year-round fun at Sesame Place San Diego with spinning rides, seasonal water slides, exciting shows, parades, the Sesame Street interactive neighborhood and visits with everyone’s favorite furry friends.
Season Pass members will be able to make reservations to dine with Elmo and his friends before the general public, which is just one of the many unbeatable benefits available with the Sesame Place 2024 Season Pass! Visitors can enjoy unlimited visits this year and next, plus exciting events including Sesame Summer Splash, The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular, A Very Furry Christmas.
