If you’re a fan of Encanto, the magical Disney film that celebrates the culture and traditions of Colombia, you have an unmissable date in San Diego. The Balboa Theater, in the heart of downtown San Diego, will be filled with music, emotion and color with a very special event: a live concert where spectators will be able to sing their favorite songs while enjoying the movie. This unique event is a collaboration with the La Jolla Music Society, which will present a show in which the “La Casita Band” will perform live the entire soundtrack, including hits that have become classics such as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure”.

No matter the age, the event is ideal for the whole family to enjoy an unforgettable experience, with the opportunity to sing along to the lyrics of Lin-Manuel Miranda, the talented composer behind the songs that have given Encanto its special touch. The film’s Grammy and Oscar-winning soundtrack includes eight original songs by Miranda, as well as an emotional score by composer Germaine Franco. The blend of these two talents has resulted in music that not only complements the film’s story, but has also achieved impressive records: the album spent nine weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart, and the song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” reached the top spot on the Hot 100 chart, something few movie songs achieve.

In addition, to make the night even more special, attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from the movie, such as Mirabel, Isabela, or Bruno. The idea is for everyone to feel part of the Madrigal family, and live the spirit of Encanto with all the energy and fun of a live show. So, if you feel like singing, reliving the history of this magical family and joining other fans, don’t miss this opportunity to see and feel Encanto in a unique way.
