Tijuana.- Universal Studios Hollywood announced that its first high-speed outdoor roller coaster, “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” will join the theme park family in 2026.
The dynamic new attraction, inspired by Universal Pictures’ hit film saga, Fast & Furious, will elevate guests’ experience with innovative and technological achievements never before used in a roller coaster.
The state-of-the-art attraction system is exclusively designed to immerse guests in the high-speed Fast & Furious universe. Highlights will include an innovative 360-degree rotation of the individual vehicles as they progress along an elaborate track meticulously constructed with sound reduction technology for an impressive and premium experience. These attributions will create a perfect feeling of drifting cars as visitors spin at tremendously fast speeds.

“Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” will be located in the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. Guests will line up inside a large red brick garage-style structure before settling into ride vehicles, modeled after several authentic cars featured in the movies, and catapulting along an aerial track that winds over parts of the theme park.

The new roller coaster will become a marquee next to the theme park’s signature Studio Tour attraction, which commemorates 60 years of movie magic this year. Since 1964, the Studio Tour has offered visitors a front-row seat to movie magic at an authentic film and television production studio for an exclusive look at original movie sets including NOPE’s Jupiter’s Claim. Jordan Peele and Courthouse Square from the movie Back to the Future.
The Fast & Furious film saga is a phenomenon. For more than twenty years, the franchise has fueled the passion of an ever-expanding audience and grossed more than $7 billion at the global box office. The local movies Fast & Furious, which beat records, have become the studio’s most profitable and longest-running franchise.
