Anaheim, Ca. The Disneyland Resort announces to all dreamers and fans of the Wizarding World of Mickey, that the “Magic Happens” Parade will return to Disneyland Park on February 24, 2023, as part of Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration.
Making a limited debut in 2020, the incredible show “Magic Happens” celebrates the breathtaking moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories.
Led by Mickey Mouse and friends, this parade celebrates magical moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios movies as they are brought to life on a grand scale with impressive floats, artistic costumes and a surprisingly energetic musical score paired with beloved Disney tunes.
Let’s remember that “Magic Happens” presents nine completely new floats, in which the magic of classic stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios such as “The Sword in the Stone“, “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty” is highlighted, and more recent stories including “Frozen 2,” “Moana” and “The Princess and the Frog,” from Disney Animation Studios, as well as “Coco,” from Disney and Pixar.
The show’s costume design draws direct inspiration from contemporary fashion runways, so each outfit has been created with an eye to the future, yet still distinctively Disney. In “Magic Happens” many artists and characters will wear new costumes, specifically designed for this parade.
While the music and stories seen in “Magic Happens” are anchored in iconic Disney lore, the soundtrack and choreography take a modern twist on popular Disney classics. “Magic Happens” features an energetic musical soundtrack and new songs, co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall.
“Magic Happens” is a whimsical and jubilant procession that lets the magic of Disney shine through. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MISS IT!
