Tijuana.- Disneyland Resort inaugurated the new expanded Haunted Mansion grounds (now part of the attraction’s queue) and revealed an interior rendering and the name of the themed store that will open this winter, Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond.
Entering this new part of the queue, before discovering the expanded grounds, you may notice a familiar Spanish fountain that once stood in the middle of Magnolia Park.
The first photos of the expanded mansion grounds reveal some charming details found in the gardens belonging to Master Gracey and Madame Leota. The virtual queue will no longer be used, and Haunted Mansion Holiday is available through the standby queue, Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
Guests using a mobility device can now exit the attraction via a new accessible elevator exit that extends the attraction’s history with a gallery of artwork from Walt Disney Imagineering.
Somewhere Beyond is a carriage house that used to store the same ornate carriage that now remains in the mansion’s front yard. It also contains a powder room on the mezzanine level. At one time, it was home to the mansion’s head concierge, but was later taken in by Madame Leota. This former carriage house will be filled
with her eclectic furnishings, including a crystal ball, a fainting couch, and the original parlor lamp Leota used in her séances.
You’ll find that the new gardens are closely guarded by a pair of stately ravens, representing a connection between the living world and the spirit world. You’ll also find the crouching figure of a cat. The statue sits hidden among the fine grass, and looks ready to pounce.
The Haunted Mansion is currently decorated for the Holidays that will extend into the Christmas season in early 2025.
Here you can find Haunted Mansion and Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas-themed gifts, including apparel and accessories, collectibles, home decor and more. You’ll definitely want to “come back quickly” – spooky and ghostly treasures will materialize throughout the year.
The Disneyland Resort team can’t wait for you to experience these majestic new lands for yourself!
