Tijuana.- SeaWorld San Diego celebrates Halloween with the return of Spooktacular, featuring new family-friendly fun that is included with park admission. Guests will embark on a pirate-themed adventure filled with interactive activities, an exciting candy hunt and the lively tunes of a pirate song band.
Enjoy enchanting moments during story time with talking skulls and capture magical memories with friendly Halloween mermaids. With MORE trick-or-treat stations than ever before and a charming pumpkin patch, there is no shortage of festivities for everyone during this daytime event. SeaWorld Spooktacular runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from September 6 through November 3.
During this year’s Spooktacular, guests of all ages will embark on a new Halloween pirate adventure filled with excitement. From adventurous pirate parades to magical candy hunts, the event offers:
- NEW Candy Quest: Join the infamous candy pirate, Captain Sweet Tooth, to find the secret word hidden in pirate-themed sets and unlock sweet treasure.
- NEW Pirate Sea Singing Band: Come sing and dance with a fun group of singing pirates, The Scurvy Squad, as they sing old and new sea chanties to you.
- NEW Captain’s Story Time: Enjoy an exciting tale of two pirate skeletons, Captain Sweet Tooth and First Mate Peggy.
- NEW Captain Sweet Tooth’s Pirate Cavalcade – Join the infamous Captain Sweet Tooth and his crew on a swashbuckling cavalcade to kick off the spooktacular festivities.
- NEW Waterfront Pumpkin Patch – Guests can immerse themselves in a family-friendly pumpkin paradise with stunning views of Mission Bay.
The Halloween magic continues with the return of spooky favorites, including OP Otter’s Spooktacular Surprise. Costumed kids will find waves of Halloween fun as they trick-or-treat for ghoulish treats at the Trick-or-Treat Candy Trail, which features 10 candy stations.
Each station is open after 4:00 p.m. on Fridays and from 12:00 p.m. until park closing on Saturdays and Sundays. To participate in trick-or-treating, a SeaWorld candy bag is required and will be available for purchase.
By popular demand, SeaWorld Spooktacular will also include a celebration of the Mexican holiday of Día de los Muertos from November 1-3.
For those looking for the ultimate scare, San Diego’s largest nighttime Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream, returns on September 27 with haunted attractions, thrills, shows, roller coasters, speakeasies, food and more, through November 2.
FREE Kids’ Visits and End-of-Summer Deals
For a limited time, kids get in free at SeaWorld. Kids ages 3-9 will receive a free 1-day admission ticket with a paid adult ticket, valid through October 31, 2024. SeaWorld San Diego is also offering guests up to 70% off.
