Alma Andrea Meza Carmona, best known as Andrea Meza, was born on August 13, 1994, in Chihuahua, Mexico. From a young age, she showed determination and charisma—qualities that would later make her one of the most admired women internationally.
Although many people associate her mainly with beauty pageants, Andrea has always been much more than a pretty face. She earned a degree in Software Engineering from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, breaking stereotypes and proving that intelligence and ambition are part of her essence.
Her journey in modeling and pageantry began in her home state, but her big breakthrough came in 2017, when she was crowned Miss Mexico and later named first runner-up at Miss World. That experience opened doors to a global platform, where she used her voice to advocate for women’s rights and animal welfare.
Her greatest milestone arrived on May 16, 2021, when she was crowned Miss Universe in Miami, Florida. With this victory, Andrea became the third Mexican woman in history to win the universal crown, following Lupita Jones (1991) and Ximena Navarrete (2010). Her triumph was celebrated throughout Mexico as a source of national pride.
Today, Andrea continues to shine in a new role: television. She is a host on Telemundo’s morning show “Hoy Día”, where her charisma, warmth, and natural presence have won over the Hispanic audience in the United States.
Beyond the runway, Andrea has proven that true beauty becomes more powerful when paired with purpose and action. She is an ambassador for various causes, a defender of female empowerment, and a promoter of healthy living. With her versatility, she has established herself as an authentic and inspiring role model both on and off screen.
Andrea Meza is remembered not only as a beauty queen but also as a smart, genuine, and multifaceted professional who has transformed her achievements into a platform to inspire others to follow their dreams.
