As Executive Vice President of Operations for San Ysidro Health, Veronica Dela Rosa leads the organization with key oversight and strategic initiatives of Clinic Operations, Information Technology, Population Health and Performance Excellence, Compliance, Human Resources, Pharmacy Operations and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. Her insight and vision are assisting the transformation of the organization’s direction in propelling healthcare delivery to include prevention at all levels of care. 

In 2024, under Veronica’s strategic guidance and collaborative efforts, San Ysidro Health has initiated two pivotal areas of focus. Firstly, there is a commitment to expanding the Medical Assistant pipeline, ensuring a robust workforce that aligns with the organization’s mission. Secondly, Veronica is championing the demonstration of Augmented Intelligence within the care delivery model, showcasing San Ysidro Health’s commitment to embracing innovative technologies to enhance patient care.

Veronica’s commitment to education and workforce development is evident through initiatives like the Medical Assistant Accelerated Program (MAAP). This collaboration with Southwestern Community College and San Diego Workforce Partnership, supported by the Conrad Prebys Foundation Grant, demonstrates her dedication to nurturing a skilled and diverse healthcare workforce.

Veronica’s prior experience includes over 20 years as a health care leader with Kaiser Permanente where her oversight encompassed the medical group’s Primary Care Services Division focusing on quality, access, innovative health care delivery services and policy advocacy to over 600,000+ patients.

In both her career and community involvement, Veronica has a long history of advocating for: women’s health, social justice, health equity and policy and advocacy initiatives. She has helped shape multiple non-profit organizations as a board member national, state-wide, and locally and continues that work today.

Family time is valued and is a motivator to strive to make this world a better place. As a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and wife she manages to instill the passion to the next generation by involving family to engage in work that fuels their own passion, consistently quoting, “Be the Change you Wish to See in the World.” Gandhi
