Patricia Álvarez de los Cobos is the Founder, President, and CEO of Energy Communications Corporation, a three-time Emmy-winning multimedia company based in Chula Vista, CA. Since 1989, Energy Communications has been the exclusive representative for Televisa Californias in Southern California, specializing in advertising campaigns that connect businesses with the Hispanic market. Under Patricia’s leadership, the company excels in video production, digital marketing, content creation, and in-culture translations, bridging international audiences through compelling storytelling.
In recognition of her impact, Patricia has been named the 2025 Woman of the Year by Assemblyman David Alvarez. She has also earned prestigious accolades such as the 2024 LatinX Leadership Award, the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from NLBWA, and recognition among San Diego Business Journal’s Top 50 Latino Leaders of Influence (2023, 2024).
Beyond media and marketing, Patricia is a dedicated community leader. She is the past Board Chair of the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce and serves on numerous boards, including the South County Economic Development Council (Past President), Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, Sharp Healthcare Foundation, San Ysidro Health Philanthropy Leadership Council, and Access Inc. She is also a Commissioner for the City of Chula Vista’s Measure A Citizens’ Oversight Committee and an active member of regional business organizations.
