Mrs. Mendoza began her career in banking in 1992, in San Diego as a teller and quickly moved up to New Accounts where she began to network with the legal community. She has spent most of her career in commercial banking where she helped businesses throughout but particularly finding her niche in the legal sector. Her career spans nearly 32 years having spent all of it in the Downtown San Diego area, she has been recognized as a top-performing banker with experience in operations, commercial lending, management, marketing, and budgeting.
Strong Banking experience and Strong Leadership: Mrs. Mendoza has worked with 3 banks in her 32-year career, including Bank of America while attending SDSU, 16+ years with California Bank and Trust and the past 11+ years with CalPrivate Bank now serving as Senior Vice President, San Diego Market Manager.
Mrs. Mendoza is an active member of many nonprofit associations and philanthropic advisory councils. The last couple of years she has been involved in the international banking area, by collaborating closely with key player in the cross-border region. Engaging International Law Firms to obtain greater understanding of the needs of that community has been her recent focus.

Family and upbringing; Mrs. Mendoza was born in Tijuana, Baja California, the sixth of ten siblings. Her mother became a widow in her early thirties with ten young children (4 adopted and six of her own). During this difficult time in her life, children had to be placed in an orphanage so mother could work as a caregiver in San Diego. A few years later her family immigrated to the US. At 14th Mrs. Mendoza started Jr High here in the states, having no knowledge of the English language she excelled in all scholar areas. Went on to High School then College. Despite a challenging childhood, she was raised in a warm and nurturing family environment that instilled in her values of love, compassion, and resilience. Growing up she was surrounded by a diverse and close-knit family that emphasized the importance of education, empathy, and community involvement. Her mother and stepfather provided a loving and supportive home where she learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity.
Mrs. Mendoza has lived within the community of North Park with her husband of 32 yrs. Dr. Martin Mendoza, they are the proud parents of a 29-year-old daughter and 23-year-old son. When she is not in the office, out with clients or attending and supporting community events, she practices meditation, spinning, enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
