Mexicali, Baja California – January 14, 2025 – Under the direction of the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, and with the support of Mayor Norma Alicia Bustamante of the 25th City Council of Mexicali, as well as the collaboration of state and municipal authorities, an invitation is extended to visitors from California for the Caribbean Series 2025, to be held in Mexicali, Baja California, from January 31 to February 7, 2025.
This event, considered one of the most important on the international sports calendar, will be a showcase for the best of Latin American baseball. In addition, thanks to the joint work between the State Government, the Municipality of Mexicali and various private sectors, strategic actions have been designed to guarantee an unforgettable experience for attendees and the local community.
The Caribbean Series 2025 will not only promote sports, but will also serve as a platform to promote tourism, culture and the identity of Mexicali and Baja California at a global level. Throughout this event, cultural, commercial and touristic activities will be developed that will leave a significant mark on all visitors.
About the Caribbean Series 2025
The Caribbean Series is the most prestigious baseball tournament in Latin America, bringing together the champions of the professional baseball leagues of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Panama and Mexico. The 2025 edition, to be held in Mexicali, will be historic, as it will include the special participation of Japan, which will compete for the first time in this tournament that brings together the main figures of winter baseball.
This edition is a great opportunity to position Mexicali as a world-class sports destination. More than 200,000 visitors are expected to participate during the eight days of competition, with a maximum of two games per day, guaranteeing a unique experience for all baseball fans.
Remodeling Work at the Nido de los Águilas Stadium
To guarantee the best experience for attendees, the Nido de los Águilas Stadium, the venue for the 2025 Caribbean Series, has undergone major improvements, including the total remodeling of the seats and the expansion of the restrooms.

Cultural and Tourist Activities:
The party won’t just be on the field! As part of the special programming for the Fiesta Mexicalense of the Caribbean Series, the 25th Municipality of Mexicali has prepared a series of cultural and recreational activities for all visitors. Among them are the Fan Fest, which will be located outside the Eagles’ Nest Stadium, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and will offer the following:
- Promotional and informational booth
- Gastronomic expositions with the best food of the region
- Local craft beer
- Three stages for the presentation of artist and live entertainment
