Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is undergoing a transformation into a Pixar Place Hotel, which, when completed, will be the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. Disneyland Resort announced that the reinvention would be finished this winter, sharing new details about the amenities and Pixar touches guests will see as the transition continues.
Over the next few months, the lobby will begin to blend beloved Pixar imagery with the hotel’s contemporary setting. This winter, visitors entering the lobby will be greeted by the Pixar lamp bobbing on its ball.
Later this summer, overnight guests will enjoy a new “Finding Nemo”-inspired water play area featuring a 186-foot-long waterslide and pop-jet water platform. Later this year, a family playground will be added to the platform with activities inspired by the famous Pixar short films.
This fall, Southern California-based hip American restaurant Great Maple will open its restaurant on the ground floor of the Pixar Place Hotel to hotel guests, theme park goers, and local diners. This trendy restaurant specializes in fun takes on upscale comfort food. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day.
Signature dishes to start dreaming? Buttermilk Fried Chicken Donuts with Maple Bacon, the Cajun Shrimp Benedict and Cheddar, and the Soda Braised Baby Ribs. Great Maple will also have a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails.
Later this year, a family play area will be added to the deck with activities inspired by the famous Pixar shorts. Interactive games and imaginative free play celebrate friends’ favorites from “The Moon,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.” And when it’s time to relax, guests can enjoy food and drinks under the lovesick umbrellas of “The Blue Umbrella.”
In the evening, the pool deck is ideal for taking in incredible views of the Disneyland Park fireworks and lounge by the cozy character-inspired fire pits with family and friends.
Great Maple’s culinary creativity will abound throughout the hotel, offering poolside food and beverage service, a new grab-and-go cafe near the lobby, and finally, the hotel’s new Concierge Lounge.
