As part of their activities prior to the Teletón, the Baja California Teletón Children’s Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center (CRIT B.C.) announced the holding of the first “Emprendetón“, an event that seeks to promote local entrepreneurs who, in turn, will make a donation to the Teletón Foundation.
The manager of Strategic Alliances and Fundraising of CRIT B.C., Niral Basave, explained that this is the first time that this event has been held, which will bring together 44 entrepreneurs from the entity.
“We launched this event that consists of a bazaar where entrepreneurs will meet and show their products and services, from 10 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon, on November 4th, here at the CRIT BC facilities”, she noted.
The reason for this event, she said, arises from the entrepreneurs who want to join the fundraising activities in favor of children and adolescents with disabilities.
“They bring in this initiative, and with what they collect during the bazaar, they will contribute with a donation, and this at the same time helps them to promote themselves”, the directive commented.
Therefore, attendees will be able to find everything from clothing, jewelry, and crafts to food and natural products, and psychological and tax advice, among a very wide range of other items and services.
“These are activities prior to the Teletón, which, it should be said, is celebrating its 25th anniversary, so one of the objectives is for more and more people to know what is done at CRIT BC since many are unaware of it,” she explained.
Niral Basave pointed out that more than 1,000 families are currently served at CRIT BC, with physical rehabilitation therapies, treatments, and therapies for minors with cancer or autism.
Finally, the manager of Strategic Alliances and Fundraising mentioned that there will be two Teletón events: a local one on December 16th, starting at 8 in the morning, through Televisa Channel 12, and another national one, on December 17th, starting at 6 in the morning, on national TV network Televisa.
