FLYING SIDE BY SIDE

1 min read

La Revista Binacional was at the launch of VOLANDO JUNTOS (FLYING SIDE BY SIDE), a project that supports the education of Mexican and Latino Leaders through the Colibrí MX Scholarships.

Several personalities from the San Diego community were present, including Carlos González Gutiérrez, Consul General of Mexico in San Diego; Arnulfo Manríquez, CEO of MAAC and Jorge Goytortúa CEO of CBX and host of the event.

The CBX entrance hall was the venue to launch this program that will begin in February, in which more than 300,000 people are expected to cross the CBX Bridge to Tijuana and vice versa.

Donations to this program can be made through direct donations on the MAACPROJECT.ORG page, as well as in purchasing CBX tickets, where there will be an option of making an additional donation to the cause.

CBX agrees to match what is collected by users to double the donation.

This is the 4th edition of Colibrí MX scholarships that have helped more than 257 binational youngsters. The goal is to help another 90 more. Each student receives $1,000 and $1,500 if they are a DACA student.

“There is nothing more important than helping young people going to University. We must help each other, and what better than with the collaboration of CBX, the natural binational meeting point.”

Let’s support the COLIBRI MX foundation through MAAC, IME SCHOLARSHIPS, THE CONSULATE OF MEXICO IN SAN DIEGO, and CBX throughout the month of February.
