1 min read

It was great attending the  Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the San Diego County Administration Center on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

During the month-long period from September 15 – October 15 designated as National Hispanic Heritage Month, communities across the United States commemorate the anniversary of the independence of Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

We at La Revista Binacional, like to call it “A celebration of Latino Excellence”

Our Chairwoman Nora Vargas, along with an amazing staff, greeted us and began by honoring key people that have amazing stories and make our community extra special.

The Mexico National Team of Little League was recognized with an award and an inspiring speech from Ms Vargas.

This group of kids from Tijuana are setting an example of dedication and teamwork for all youngsters.

The green, white and red lights were lit on the San Diego County Administration Building and will be on for the whole month, making the whole Waterfront park colorful and festive!

Live Mariachi music, churros, churros locos and drinks, along with the exhibition of low rider automobiles were part of the event that entertained people from both sides of our binational region.
