Dia de Muertos Dinner in Rancho Santa Fe to benefit Fundacion Tijuana Sin Hambre – This is About Humanity Kitchen

1 min read

Imagine having nowhere to go and no one to ask for help when crossing the border in search of safety and survival. Seeking asylum is a human right that should never be denied to anyone.

Even though there are a lot of groups trying to fight for the rights of the families, the government continues to forcibly separate them at the border.

While the government gets it together, in the meantime, all these families need protection, care, and hope.

That is why THIS IS ABOUT HUMANITY, a community dedicated to raising awareness about this problem at the border is here to help.

Founded in 2018 by Elsa Collins, Zoe Winkler Reinis, and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade, the organization has grown beyond its expectations in a very short time.

The name THIS IS ABOUT HUMANITY is perfect because that is what it really is all about. It is helping each other regardless of race, religion, social status, etc.

On November 4th, Charo García Acevedo, Yolanda Selene Walther Meade, and Maru Rique de Vargas will host a DIA DE MUERTOS event at a beautiful Rancho Santa Fe Estate.

Proceeds will benefit the food kitchen that provides more than 3000 daily meals to children and youth who have been separated from their families.

The special guest and emcee of the event will be the actor and television personality Jaime Camil.

Several of the most talented chefs will delight guests with their culinary expertise, as well as wines from FINCA LA CARRODILLA of Valle de Guadalupe.

La Revista Binacional is proud to be a part of this event for the first time and hopefully will continue to do so for many years to come.
