Sindashi, art meets haute couture

1 min read

Imagine a white canvas of a special fabric. Now imagine color, lots of colors. Mexican hands with brushes and strokes on that canvas describe Mexico with fashionable tones and designs. Now imagine that this work of art is turned into a piece of clothing: a dress, a cape, a skirt.

That was what the talented Mexican designer Angela Nasta did when she decided to turn her dream into a reality creating the brand SINDASHI, which means ‘white’ in the Otomi language.

Angela Nasta offers us a new concept in current fashion through hand-painted collections with original artistic designs representing our Ancient Mexico and Modern Mexico.

Sindashi is Mexican culture painted on garments you can wear and show off with pride.

Mexico now has an important place in the world of haute couture.

Sindashi, Angela Nasta, and her entire team are part of our bi-national community, and we are proud of it.

This May, at a residence in Bonita, CA, a ‘petite comité’ fashion show was held, which served as a venue for a photo session for the new collection as well as the presentation of the new line POP-URBAN By Sindashi.

POB-URBAN is a new line that can be considered more youthful, reflecting urban art, graffiti, pop, and the ‘underground grunge feel’ captured elegantly. Skirts, capes, dresses, and leggings with blazers made of artful fabrics for all preferences were worn by the models who knew how to show off the talent of our designer and friend Angela Nasta.

Congratulations to Sindashi for thriving in combining haute couture with fine art!
