Visitors will be able to taste the “Yucatecan Food Festival”

The Tourism and Conventions Committee of Tijuana (Cotuco) announced that the Yucatecan Food Festival will be held from November 1 to 5, at the facilities of the Hotel City Express Plus, where visitors will be able to taste typical dishes from that region.

At a press conference, Lic. Arturo Gutiérrez Sánchez, president of Cotuco, highlighted the importance of disseminating events like this one that are characterized by promoting tourism in the region, as well as the gastronomic industry.

“In the Committee we are pleased to support this type of activity that enhances our Mexican cuisine and, in turn, attracts a binational public that leaves an important economic impact on our region,” he said.

For her part, Lic. Martha Domínguez, general manager of City Express Plus, indicated that this is the first edition of the Yucatecan Food Festival, which will be held at the Hotel City Express Plus Tijuana, located in the old Toreo de the city.

“The objective of the event is to publicize the exquisite gastronomy of the state of Yucatan through emblematic dishes such as Salbutes, Papadzules, Panuchos, to name a few,” she commented.

The board mentioned that this initiative arose from the corporate Chef of City Express Hotels, Félix Ramos, who made a detailed analysis to know the interests of the clients.

“This is what we highlight in the plus brand with 24 hotels of the 156 that the chain has at a national and international level with a presence in South America,” he said.

Therefore, Chef Félix Ramos explained that four Plus brand hotels were selected for this festival: Reforma, Ensenada, Tijuana and Guadalajara, in order to reinforce the new City Express Plus brand concept, with lunches and dinners at the letter.

“The idea was to be able to present an innovative menu in the cities where the festival has been held, but maintaining the essence of the destination of Yucatan, so that the wide variety of dishes can be tasted from November 1st to November 5th. of the same month”, explained the Executive Chef.

To conclude, he extended the invitation to enjoy this festival at Café Plus within the facilities of the Hotel City Express Plus, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with prices starting at 120 pesos per person. . The event is open to the general public.

Chefs Luis Campos, from City Express Plus, and Fernando Tapia, from Hoteles City, were also at the press conference.
