As part of its mission, the University of the Californias International (UDCI) signed a collaboration agreement with the Municipal Youth Institute of Rosarito (IMJUVER), with which the preparation of young people will be strengthened.

In an interview, Mtro. Antonio Carrillo Vilches, Rector of UDCI, stressed that this agreement will be the opportunity for students to carry out their Social Service, which is a requirement for graduation, while they obtain a benefit as citizens.

“It is not only complying with a procedure, but also participating in projects that have a social impact, in support of the youth and community in general, so I think the benefits go both ways, which has to do with strengthening values as people”, he declared.

In addition, he highlighted the importance of generating greater strategic collaboration networks so that young people have more options about where to put their knowledge into practice.

“It is about contributing to a comprehensive education, not only the academic part, but as an individual, so the student is the first beneficiary”, noted the Rector of the UDCI.

For his part, Lic. Israel Durán Natera, director of IMJUVER, commented that inter-institutional collaboration is highly relevant for the achievement of the objectives and scope of both organizations.

“We are aware that the alliances we can establish make us stronger as an institute, since the purpose is to serve the young population, which ranges from 12 to 29 years old,” he said.

To conclude, the director of IMJUVER argued that the main benefit of this agreement with UDCI is that students have experience in the public sector, which, in turn, will allow them to have a good curricular value.
